    An active blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom has been found in a portion of Boyds Cove on Lake Wylie. Avoid contact with the algae as it can produce toxins that may be harmful to humans/pets »

    New COVID-19 data thru 8/4 » Continued increases this week: cases and hospitalizations are up and the % testing positive is now 12.4%. 54% of County residents are at least partially vaccinated.

    A sad milestone in Mecklenburg County. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free and incredibly effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization and death. Get it if you are eligible. It may save your life.

    We are saddened to mark the 1000th COVID-19 death in Mecklenburg County. We extend our condolences to all of our residents and community members who have lost loved ones, friends and colleagues during the pandemic. 

If you have not yet gotten the vaccine, please get it now. It will help protect you, your family, your friends and our community.
