Was that one earnest passage in the PD on the (an)eristic priniciple an inspiration for your ideas on pattern and nebulosity? I remember it as the only part I couldn't make sense of as a teenager.

Not consciously. Maybe indirectly and in the back of my mind. Yup, as RAW showed, it's great epistemic hygiene to be able to view all, especially opposing, reality tunnels equally, only then can you choose more wisely. Interestingly, teenage years are just about when traditional cultures go on spirit/vision quests, going *really* meta :)
