In medicine we’re now having to put gender back into research as mostly done on males (rats, students). this can sometimes be dramatically misleading when applied to females, because of differences in metabolism or in neural pathways.

Was about to agree on the lack of system, but you are right. JBP consistently uses an evolutionary and developmental approach. This is an exceedingly powerful framework for synthesis of human behavior, but at this grand scale is necessarily low in rigor.

My training was in discrete mathematics, so I try to fit everything into a neat overarching system. Which is pretty funny, because the central premise of the system is that you can't fit things into a neat overarching system!
