Rationalists seem to often use a third-ish definition, which is sort of just "effective thinking". Thanks! A rationalist also pointed me at this page. As so often with EY’s writing, I have no idea what he’s talking about here; even after reading it several times. It’s striking how different presentations work for different people.
I take "Systematized Winning" as railing against getting stuck in what you label the Formal&Inaccurate quadrant. No extant map is the actual territory of the real world, & even our best mapmaking principles&attitudes should stay subject to revision when the territory demands it.
