I agree that self-discovery is largely a side-effect. It does happen, though. Is it preferable to talk to a therapist than to a meditation teacher?

It’s ideal to talk to a therapist who has an understanding of meditation. Any meditation teacher talking about self-discovery is essentially doing psychotherapy anyway, no?
