The Jewish view of the Enlightenment starts with Spinoza and goes to the Haskalah. Michael A. Meyer's book on the Origins of the Modern Jew is awesome because it sets up the 1960-70s Jewish enthusiasm for Buddhism (and other attempts to exit Protestant saturation).
