I’m reasonably sure not. Mainstream Buddhism isn’t a mystery religion at all. It has a surprisingly formal, well-developed epistemological theory, which explicitly takes scripture as unquestionable Truth.

One thing Ray Kurzweil got right was the confluence flurry which occurs at a tipping/inflection point. Although stretching that out to infinity and beyond always felt intellectually disingenuous in order to divine to the Hoi Poloi.
