Well… that’s why Vajrayana has a slew of practices. They seem to work. Maybe less efficiently than I’d like! I can’t reliably not-judge, but I do judge less when I practice more, and find myself in flow more often.
surely not universally good to avoid judgement. Miles had to judge the notes he played himself (perhaps different kind of "judgement"), and may not have chosen to play that chord himself were it him (which again could be seen as judgement).
I would not personally advocate avoiding judgement in all circumstances. Depending on what counts as “judgement,” I’d guess Dzogchen experts wouldn’t either, but terms like that disintegrate when you push on them.
