Reading some of the emoting in there helped me understand why, when I say “rationalism is wrong because X,” rationalists hear “rationalists are wrong because Y.” Apparently there’s way more of the latter going around than I realized.

I had in mind more the assumption that if anyone says “$thing is wrong for
$reason ,” they are doing that because they are against$thing, and will happily slot anything into$reason that might stick and don’t care what$reason is.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like
