@Meaningness Greetings! Loved your Kangling article, but I am having some problems finding Bondo near me. Is it possible to use "spackling paste", the kind of stuff to patch up holes in walls? And what can I use to perserve the blood color and keep it of peeling off? Thanks!
As for the blood color, I guess it would depend on what you are using to give it the color. I don’t really recommend blood (although that’s what I used). It’s fun conceptually but not very practical.

Leather dye needs no protectant. It’s probably the best bet, but try some out first on a small scrap of leather to see if you like the color.

I’m glad you enjoyed the article! Good luck with your kangling. Feel free to ask more questions as they come up!
