... I'm going to start pointing out the irony of my own aesthetic choices, and see if anyone can tell that the very act of pointing out my irony is itself ironic
Seems to be a lot of that around. Last night I met someone wearing a Che t-shirt of Che t-shirts; if it was just a Che t-shirt, it'd be lame, but being a t-shirt of a t-shirt, it was *ironic*. He further admitted to having a Kek statue (also ironically). I was unsure how to tell.
Since meaning atomized 15 years ago, nothing has any fixed significance, all former signifiers float free, and it’s impossible to adopt them other than as a statement of their own meaninglessness. Unless you find out what you actually like. That’s quite difficult.

One is a monster because other people don't know where to put you, how to label you, how to judge you, how to interact with you. Refusing to have likes/dislikes can seem like a trick to fool people. It seems dishonest, monstrous.
