.@Meaningness "orthogonal takes" should be a thing, when you redefine the problem in a different framework/system of meaning. Not the same as contrarian takes.

I find what I've read of C-K theory kind of elegant, but its glaring flaw is that it doesn't actually tell you what to do, except most broadly.

The Soviet counterpart, TRIZ/ARIZ, is worth a look. It is (appropriately?) the opposite way. It gives you a precise approach to problem solving refined from countless patents, but justifies it with basically-Hegel that feels ad hoc and unnecessary.
