There’s diminishing returns to using calculus and most people would be better off learning algebra because you can apply it in more contexts. Doesn’t mean calculus isn’t useful. It’s just not that useful for most people in most contexts.

Yep, reading your other clarification helps. I actually love 19th century style formula churning too but I realise that's a minority taste!
