Problem is this only applies to right-wing totalitarianism. The argument could also be made that mushrooms increase the likelihood of left-wing forms of totalitarianism. This actually seems highly likely to me.

I’ve been doing this recently and finding it quite helpful. Erecting boundaries and making critical distinctions is important. We can’t always be ‘open.’

I thought openness was unambiguously good until I read @primalpoly’s _Spent_, which points out some of its drawbacks. Have intended to write about that from a Buddhist pov ever since, but it’s not reached front of queue.
