Perhaps. But Christianity also has a specific perspective on how to integrate relationship, family, group, society and work that seems curiously absent in currently available Buddhist packages that focus on individual liberation.

Yes, those questions were never addressed by Buddhism. They were, and are, considered secular matters in Asian Buddhist societies.

In China, there was a division of labor between religions, with Confucianism doing most of the work on those sorts of questions. Buddhism was in charge of funerals mostly :)
