Because it forces you to confront the ethics directly instead of abstractly. If you watch the animal you killed die, you are not separated from its life, death, and suffering. (Hopefully you can minimize the suffering if you know what you are doing.)

The Joe Rogan approach. I like it. I believe he kills an elk every 6 months and eats everything after vacuum-sealing it. And he does it with a bow and arrow.

Yes, it’s been my intention to take up large-mammal hunting, but getting into it takes a lot of equipment and training, so I haven’t. I do eat a lot of animal bits that Americans generally don’t. Partly for ethical reasons, partly health, and partly because they’re delicious

I dislike the idea of human suffering in Amazon warehouses, and I still order stuff from Amazon. It'll be automated soon though. I think that this carnivore position is actually pretty reasonable: ppl want the system changed, not to have to behave differently in the same system.

Hmm, not sure I understand… do you have cultured meat in mind here? Or, how would animals get killed to eat if not in a slaughterhouse?

The (food) supply chain did an excellent job! Society doesn't need to know, to think or do the dirty job!
