@Meaningness Are shifts in percepction of time a common thing during mystical experience?

I keep on thinking about it because of the paper I have sent you about fractal perception of time. I once experienced this nesting and unnesting of contexts (I also had time slowdown and a time-skip experience). Maybe mystical experiences are connected to emergence of a new LOD?

I don’t know! I The fractal time paper didn’t make much sense to me, I’m afraid. Maybe I missed the point.

Ok, maybe it makes too much sense to me because of my experience. I remember noticing exactly that "the self story" seems to unravel in a sort of nested fractal pattern where nestings/unnestings are results of changes of context. I googled fractal time and there it was.

Your description of your personal experience makes better sense to me than the paper!

Yeah, it's dense. I have spent some time on it and I still don't understand a lot - I ordered a book by Susie Vrobel yesterday where she seems to explain those things in less academic language https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/9814295973/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me= …

That's why I was asking about Husserl by the way - I want to understand his phenomenology of time (and concepts of A/B/C series) a bit better as well.

Ah… I haven’t read that. The standard line on it is that it was a dead end, because his phenomenology was irreproducible.

Not that it was wrong, necessarily, but that there didn’t seem to be any way of saying whether it was right or wrong, and no way of extending it productively.

Ok, that's interesting. I'll try getting a bit into this line of thought anyway :P
