His book _The Reflective Practitioner_ is the closest thing we’ve got to a practical manual of meta-rationality. (It’s still a long way from that, but—closest so far.)

IOW you can’t get answers without knowing the right questions. Therefore prioritize figuring out questions, then direct your research at finding the answers.

Yes… usually the processes are somewhat intertwined, too. Figuring out what questions to ask and developing tentative answers, or approaches toward answers, often work best together.
