does anyone else practice constant rumination over things they hate to spur themselves into angry motivation? asking for a friend.

anger isn’t the key variable, actually. anger is a side effect of some process that produces focus, irritability, intensity, foot-tapping, chutzpah, and rigteousness.

I can achieve both this state and “deep relaxation / comfort” individually, but still seem to rely on external stimuli to flip between states. Hard do it “at will”.

Am curious to the extent which adopting/practicing formal mediation systems over years is recommended over metaphysiological flailing and asking for random Twitter advice to produce reliable flow-states.

Oh! Well, yeah, I guess so, although what works or not is different for different people, or at different points in one’s life. But formal meditation can be a powerful tool to have in your toolbox.
