If you had asked me what I knew of logic, I couldn’t have told you, beyond naming the major branches.

I would agree that this is very important and valuable along one particular axis of “better.”

The basics of mathematical logic are also extremely valuable along that same axis. And give you leverage for CS & discrete math, too.
