19% of Saudis “non-religious,” 5% outright atheists. Most due to failure of theodicy, apparently. Ripe for a monist/SBNR takeover.

Presumably in both America and Saudi Arabia far more people are de facto atheist than are willing to admit it. I expect this to change soon.

@Meaningness I once talked with a Saudi scientist at a conference. I didn't ask about his religion, but he spoke like a normal academic.
