The world runs almost entirely on software technologies that were designed by people without CS degrees. This explains why everything sucks.
@St_Rev I’d guess nearly all the hardware is designed by people with degrees.

@Meaningness So maybe training is implictly oriented toward hardware (misdirected foundationalism?) & graduates have little advantage coding -
