Thanks, yes, I’m aware of its use in law which must be related… I read Rawls a billion years ago and forgot his use. Not sure this is the same; I’m taking it as the pervasive default mode of everyday sensible thought and action

Unless I've totally misunderstood the distinction, that's different? Chairs exist conventionally but not ultimately; the reasonableness vs. rationality distinction doesn't really talk about that.
