I love the unsystematic incoherence of the English language :D. Probably I should just speak whatever, let the people who try to correct my English due to mean spirited pedantry to talk to the hand.

German has both "ein Paar" (a pair, a couple; always two) and "ein paar" (a few). Figuring out that "a couple" in English (almost) always means two took me a while.
