“Not getting enough sensory input” as a causal theory of depression. Anosmia as an example. By @slatestarcodex
A priori this seems unlikely, but it fits a lot of my personal experience, particularly with seasonal affective disorderhttps://slatestarcodex.com/2020/04/17/depression-the-olfactory-perspective/ …

I treat SAD effectively with lights that are MUCH brighter than any commercially available. This works pretty well, but has drawbacks (they are hot, noisy, only illuminate a small area adequately, etc)https://meaningness.com/metablog/sad-light-led-lux …

Note that round warehouse LED lights like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CYNN49H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 … are silent and have somewhat wider beams.

Curious about your light bars: how well are they lasting? Mine (hooked up Decemberish) has 10/100 lights out, 3 flickering, and probably another 34 noticeably dimmed. Just a lemon?

Two of them lasted two years and then flaked in the way you are seeing; one is still fine. Not built for this I guess. The high bay lights you found seem like they should be built for continuous operation
