Thanks! That is fun. I had noticed that in my feed where the Algorithm had surfaced it, but I had not clicked. Back in '80 or '81 there were some printing terminals on the DEC 20 which I would sometimes play with when all the VT52s were in use.

There was a small TECO editor (not EMACS TECO) I would use for file editing, and also INTERLISP etc. worked fine on a TTY.

By then the TTY was a DEC dot matrix and ran IIRC at 1200 baud.
