I always assumed that the average quality of projects in a given language is proportional to how easy it is to fix bugs in that language but actually it's proportional to the ratio of the ease of fixing bugs to the ease of implementing features.

A while ago I had the realization that the only lisp code that is running on my machine is stuff I wrote myself (+ dependencies). It's far from being objective about anything but it did make me wonder.
