oh hey I just realized you're probably a lot more immediately concerned about the whole "no one is being trained to man the ship so we're all going to die" idea now than six months ago huh

Mmm…. I don’t think I have anything distinctive to say. As many are noting, institutions are not working as well as they should, many in the current leadership are clueless, and younger people are not being trained to run them.

Sir, I thoroughly enjoy reading your online book. I’m not pretending, even to myself, to be up to it, but it’s a delightful exercise nonetheless. Is your carefully considered stance useful to you for facing the current institutional cacophony? Does it ease the worry?

Glad you like the book! Is it helping me? I sort of think so, maybe, but I don’t know, because I don’t know how I’d be reacting if I were different from how I am. I am frightened and horrified, but perhaps dealing with that better than I would otherwise.
