Huh. @Meaningness, I'm re-reading your bridge from 4th-5th and related essays and noticing some parallels between how you talk about systems use in 5th stage and some other stuff I'm looking at.
Is there a more thorough look at what 5th stage might look like anywhere yet?

Yes, many people have written much about this. If you are more specific about what you are looking for, I may be able to suggest something?

I'm specifically looking for discussion on how 5th stage thinking practically uses systems or symbols as tools for effecting action or creating meaning--the mechanism of those uses in particular.

Kind of similar to your claim that 4th stage fails by assuming that systems corrupt or fail. How does 5th stage use these tools to cause them to work? What differs in the approach? I'm trying to understand how the modes look different mechanically

Hmm, not totally sure what you mean, but you might try Kegan’s most recent book: https://amzn.to/2JpaLce

What is the other literature you are reading that feels like it might be fruitfully analogous?

I fully expect you to laugh at it and tell me I'm going down a fruitless path but I've noticed that the attitude toward meaning in chaos magic spiritual practices has some similarities to how you describe interacting with systems in 5th stage. But maybe this is dragging me to 3rd

Post-modern magical practice shares a relationship with Western Ritual practice analogous to 5th vs 3rd stage Kegan models of interaction... maybe I'm not sure it means anything but it's part of my random digging
