A presentational difficulty for me: meta-rationality always involves mastery of the technical specifics. I can’t get readers up to speed on multiple sciences, so each case study will inevitably involve a lot of vague handwaving.

Can you say that experts learn meta-rationality by repurposing their "mere reasonableness" skills in light of their rational expertise and their tacit skills? That meta-rationality = knowing when/how/why it is reasonable to apply certain rational systems?
