I don't want to like this because I feel it so much.

That’s interesting… fwiw, according to Buddhist tantra, anger and clear thought are different manifestations of the same energy

In my case I think it's pseudodepression due to a congenitally malformed left frontal lobe. It's very difficult for me to conceive and sustain intentional behavior if I'm not in fight-or-flight mode.

Old MRI of my brain, left frontal lobe at top left. Note that it's enlarged to the point that the rest of my brain is pushed away and twisted around.pic.twitter.com/N19KyORjur

Huh! Oh, wait a sec --
@Malcolm_Ocean doesn't McGilchrist talk about that? * googles * Oh, I'm thinking of the "brain torque" that most people have, but it goes in the other direction usually, counterclockwise. R edges out L in front: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakovlevian_torque …2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

Huh... Do you happen to have all your organs flipped around? Was googling reverse brain torque & found this... said it seems to happen with folks who have their heart on the right, liver on the left, etc (visceral reversal / situs inversus totalis):https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00429-017-1598-5?shared-article-renderer …

(I did not expect to be asking this on Twitter today!) also please feel abundantly free not to answer -- I think this is fascinating, but maybe you want to keep your heart location shrouded in mystery! p.s. if you are secretly a vigilante hero, I would recommend this

As far as I know, I do not have my organs flipped around. It's possible that my scan is backwards. But note that the Yaklovian torque illustration is (significantly) exaggerated.

...sigh, scratch that, scratch everything. I dug out the 30 year old film and I'm wrong, because the scan is reversed the same way as the Wikipedia illustration. Right lobe is on the left. So much for my hypothesis!

maybe it’s a convention of the field that brains are imaged looking up along the spinal cord sorry to learn engaging theory undone by tedious fact
