the nice thing about developing note-taking is it makes it easier to catch ideas in the brief period between when they present themselves to you and when they become concealed as obvious

That said, I think that, to the extent “always already” needs amplification, it’s gesturing at "ontologically primordial," where "ontologically" in B&T means "in terms of Being" rather than "in terms of beings" and 1/2

"primordial" means it's inherent in the structure of Being rather than "temporally prior." This is sortof explained in Ch11 of BitW, esp 200ff. That chapter also explains how science works, and looking at it now I'm realizing I need to review it as I'm writing the Eggplant book.
