This thread seems important. If ideas around critical rationalism are causing people life problems, that's a major issue. I hope CR can be patched up to not have these issues. ... I'm pretty sure it was Feyerabend's /Against Method/ that kicked me out of 4, but my reaction was not "there's no ground under my feet" but rather "cool!" Probably this is because I went to CalTech instead of MIT.
