I was going to make a joke about how philosophers pretend metaphysics is a serious subject, but if you go to your local bookstore you’ll find that it’s actually about holistic healing crystals. Then I realized there aren’t any bookstores anymore. Also, no healing crystals.
So why is there much less of it now than a decade ago? (Assuming I’m right about that; I haven’t even checked Google Trends)

I'm not sure . . . perhaps because systems that don't work and cost money have trouble continuing to exist? And/or perhaps the mass mindfulness/meditation movements are pulling in the people who like easy fixes to complex problems?
