The UK: we can't sell you more than two sixteen pill packets of ibuprofen. You might overdose on it. (You basically can't overdose on ibuprofen. The USA: Would you like the 500 pill or the thousand pill bottle? Rare for me to be on the USA's side on a medical issue.
OTOH you can’t get either diclofenac or codeine without a prescription in the US, and for all practical purposes you can’t get a prescription for either of them ever. In Australia you can buy a 1000-tablet bottle of diclofenac in any corner store, and in the UK…

Conversely you can't get naproxen in the UK without a prescription (except for tiny quantities of period branded naproxen) and it's available without prescription in thousand pill bottles in the US and mostly preferred to diclofenac these days.

Diclofenac not much prescribed these days in UK- increased cardiovascular risks compared to naproxen. You can buy a lot more ibuprofen in a UK pharmacy than in a supermarket. Naproxen generally prescription only due to high risk of GI problems including bleeding ulcers
