@meaningness Do you have any links that claim to rebut staged/systematic learning models like Dreyfus or shu-ha-ri in favor of Schön-like/metasystematic learning models? I may be talking myself into agreeing to give a "big think" talk.
I think that (as perhaps you suggest) much of the power of explaining the later levels is to point out that you can extend your ability to be systematic, or meta-systematic, from one domain to other domains.

Many people follow (mostly) a straightforward, well defined path through the attractors. Others (shi-né-first) follow a well-defined path in the opposite direction.
