Leonard Savage *is* the theoretical foundation of “everything is Bayesian” ideology; he’s not some squishy “ineffable essence of humanity” guy; if even he acknowledges limits on probabilistic formalisms, Bayesians should listen.

Yes, that was my point :) “Use Bayesian methods to make your everyday life rational” is an attractive idea that comes around once every decade or two and causes a lot of confusion until those afflicted realize that it can’t work.
