When has there ever been sane public understanding of this stuff? Vance Packard and Edward Hunter were pushing their lunacy 50~60 years ago. Great acclaim, mostly zero understanding. Their acolytes are doing the same today wrt Facebook. Doesn't mean that EVERYONE is as deluded.
