It clicked; I did not meditate at the time, though I've since started. I'm inclined to click "clicks & meditate", but I'll leave that to you.

I guess, to avoid skewing results, it would be best to choose whatever seems most intuitively right to you! I wish twitter polls were less restrictive, so you could write better questions and answers, but they're designed for clickbait entertainment, not Science :(

> experiential systems geekery as a relevant factor That seems right! I have some other hypotheses about who it works for and why. Maybe I should do some amateur psychological science, as
@slatestarcodex does.

Do you count it as meditation if I have tried meditation but do not do it regularly? For what it’s worth, Meaningness makes a lot of sense to me.

The nonsense side's sample size is way too low for this to provide any insight, unfortunately.

It makes sense that only people who understand the book would answer, I guess! Anecdotally, many smart people say it sounds like vague incoherent rambling woo to them

"clicked; no-med" b/c it clicked for me back in 2016 when I hadn't really done much meditation. Probably wouldn't've clicked before 2015. Hard to say exactly what made that difference. My 2016 meaningness deep-dive was inspired by an acute need for more fluid collaboration.

I'm guessing meaningness clicks iff you've had meta-experience X, which many people get through meditation but not everybody does, and it can also be acquired elsewise. What is X? A glimpse of fluid mode? Some spark of the reality of nebulosity? Experience of limits of system?
