How does the discipline build upon / diverge from all the work that's been done in fields like, e.g., sts, philosophy of science, rhetoric of science, applied epistemology, etc.?

It’s using scientific methods to study science. I would like to see it working more closely with philosophy sociology and history of science, but just as science-of-science it is valuable I think

But sociologists of science, for example, use scientific methods to study science. I assume there are qualitative differences (perhaps this is a metametascience question), but they aren't clear. Are there graduate programs in metascience? Id love to see the curriculum
