As for the experience: It's difficult to describe, but it was as if the space in which the notion of gender is constructed, loosened up and lost its binary duality and became a complementarity. (like instead of 0-1, it was yin yang). It was pleasant in a non-hedonistic way. 1/

There was a gentle breeze, and for the first time I really felt the richest sense of gentleness on my skin. Perhaps that natural gentleness was the key feeling that evoked it. I remember a sense of intrigue as it wasn't "in between", "a combination of", or "beyond" gender. 2/

Often multiple proteins, which play a role in particular contexts, which are constituted by many proteins again. That's why I felt it was a bit off, there's a risk to this kind of decontextualisation. I don't mean to sound too critical though!
