This doesn’t imply that Vajrayana is safe; it isn’t. But depersonalization, derealization, depression, and nihilism (loss of meaning) are not common bad outcomes from Tantra. Those are common bad outcomes from Sutra.

With tantra you may just end up believing you’re a god. Lol. Or believing your guru is. But seriously the two extremes are described as nihilism vs eternalism. I think many tantrikas are liable to see themselves as level 10 rainbow body bodhisatvas. That can be problematic.
