I find “Thousand Year” eggs perfect for the tantric practice of transforming disgust. Horrifying and delicious! They look like the eyeballs of an exhumed corpse: because they’ve been buried in clay and ash for who knows how long... https://buddhism-for-vampires.com/disgust-as-buddhist-practice …pic.twitter.com/thb0vfLner

They are tasty! Although they take some getting used to. And @_awbery_ doesn’t like them at all.

Grain poison flavored with wood leeching has got to be as much of an acquired taste as ash cured boiled eggs. (I do like scotch and have not yet tried the ashy eggs. I can't stomach natto though so I don't have a leg to stand on really)

Have you had these? All the insects I have eaten, I have not liked, and they’ve all tasted pretty much the same. But I have not eaten many.
