I'm reminded of what the late great Bill Thurston had to say re: proofs in his paper 'On proof and progress in mathematics', which I keep rereading for its nuggets of wisdom.pic.twitter.com/AMWSjP7Q9s

Yes that’s a keystone paper for me (and I think
@drossbucket also). I’m currently reading this by@cdutilhnovaes which is extremely interesting (although in a rather different way):http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/01445340.2011.555505 …2 replies 0 retweets 5 likes -
Yep, Thurston's paper is a big influence on me too! I had a quick glance at the logic paper when you mentioned it in an email, looks good and plan to read properly

I look forward to it (although your existing output is going to keep me busy for a while!)… what is the new one about?

It's called 'The Dialogical Roots of Deduction', the title sums it up :) I have some papers out already on the idea that deduction is a dialogical notion, and in the book I put it all together.
