nice set of namechecks. Stafford Beer was also a very early yogi, having picked it up along with a lot of other orientalism in India - must ask his surviving partner if she knows if he was into buddhism too!

To be honest, I think people are weird, and post-conventional doubly so, and twice after tea-time. But it's the stream of younger student 'girlfriends' that tends to actually disappoint me.

I thought Bill wrote a whole book on his polyamorous proclivities recently... ;-) Re Gurdjieff, a lot of the first-person practices in Bill's Developmental Action Inquiry come from Gurdjieff. But G. was weak on 2nd, 3rd. Bill told me something like that...
