Thank you for all the links everyone. I just have a vague intuition that chakras are onto something coz of fun times feeling my body in the dark, mostly focussing on period pain/sensation, digestive pain/sensation and sexual sensations (it’s WILD to have 2x ‘penises’ yay)

Not EXACTLY relevant, but since I was just reading the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy article about scientific observation, I’m leaving this here without further comment https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/science-theory-observation/#SalTheSta …pic.twitter.com/RMVx8PRrOV

My first chakra experience was terrifying, uncontrolled, unexpected - for me & people around me. I didn’t know what it was at the time. It was directly connected to my first exploration of meditation. It was also positive and changed the course of my life in some ways.

Interesting thread. In my early teens, I noticed a thing and I kind of "flipped on a switch", and rest of my life has been continuous "chakra experience" ever since, with alternating intensity. It is always there, as much as the sensation of feet touching the ground.

Nice. Flipping the switch first is so efficient, love it when that happens. It took me several years of research and talking to mentor-types before I was willing to go back there in intentional practice. 1/2

Then after that another five years at least before chakra/psycho-physical/subtle-body sensation became an aspect of the ground truth of my continuous experience.

Hmm... Despite my experience just remaining, it took about ten years to find a person who was competent enough to teach about it.

A lot of subtle body practices I have learned from my one of my lamas, Bar-chè Dorje. He is not on Twitter, but can be found on Facebook by searching that name.

Here is a little article of some of his stuff, written by
@Meaningness . However, personally I have not ever done grappling - though I visited the retreat discussed in the article.https://approachingaro.org/ling-gesar-ga-tak-tibetan-buddhist-martial-arts …3 replies 0 retweets 1 like

Those were the days. That was my intro to grappling in the Gésar system.

I became aware of what was happening in my subtle body, hence chakras, the moment I met my trauma therapist (trained in Somatic Experiencing), who uses touch for healing.
