Something in this post bothers me; in what sense is one enjoying the 'ritual' of the coffee rather than the _coffee_?

He’s borrowing from the Dreyfus and Kelley book here. That passage in the book didn’t work for me, but maybe just because I don’t much like coffee and like the hassle of making it even less. Not sure. I think it’s true that rituals create meaning; wish the example had worked 4 me

If humanity drops all the grand narratives then what will people do after getting out of the bed the next day? Just smell flowers and brew coffee? Is "humanity is on an adventure to conquer cosmos" a bad narrative to believe in?
