Replying to @tobyshorin @digital_objects
I don’t hear much about him, which is too bad. His work is important and has practical implications. Tbf, he’s notoriously bad at finishing his write-ups (a fault we share). He may be better-known in circles I don’t follow?

Ok thanks guys. Doing a bit of work on defining digital objects and happened on his book "on the origin of objects." It's beautifully written and he seems to agree with some of my intuitions. David I wonder what you'd think of his "metaphysical monism, ontological pluralism"

I’ve recommended the book in my Further Reading page, and have a couple of draft essays based on it. I think ontological pluralism is critically important. I basically don’t have metaphysical views; monism about “the world” is reasonable, but who cares?https://meaningness.com/further-reading#Smith …
