What I find confusing is that Peterson seems like just an example be of a type that used to be common on college campuses, the depressive, vaguely center-right campus Jungian, a bit out of touch but useful for being willing to teach surveys.

This is the first critique of JBP I've read that had something to offer. I agree with: 1) JBP takes the undervalued side, but does not transcend side-taking 2) Individualism is insufficient as a social philosophy 3) JBP leaves out some of the best parts of Christianity

Also, I wish he were more humble and continued to develop his thinking. Reading and remixing Girard would be a great start! Unfortunately, he seems to act as if he knows all he needs to know, probably due to due to the abundance of low-quality critics
