I was getting a vibe that the activities which "feel meaningful" to her, with the exception of meditation, all scale more easily than the work of deepening one's sense of intertwinement with the physical world one tedious muscle movement at a time.

Yep, that's pretty accurate. If you use even a rough heuristic of meaningful = more important to more people, then if you're maxing out on meaning then you're using technology a lot of the time. (And by tech I mean specifically the internet boxes that you touch with your hands)

While I don't completely align with her definition of meaningfulness, I think she is onto something. Some of these issues I hit regularly: activating body is substantially hard because there is no productive way to do it, than just for the sake of exercise.
